Back Up to 8

My focus probably shouldn't be on how many games over .500 the Mets are as to how many games in 1st they are. Trust me. I am checking on that too. Seperate from where the Mets have set themselves up in the division is the push passed 12 games over .500, something they haven't been since 2008.

And now, they're back up to 8.

This sweep of the two-game series with the orange-chested birds has guaranteed we'd be at least 4 games up on our closest competitor, and also means they don't fall back to 4 games over or stand pat at 6, which is what would have happened in the case of a split.

The biggest thing to occur last night was the emergence of Dilson Herrera with a 3-3 night, including driving in the 1st run of the game and a 2-run homer to left. If he continues playing well, and the Mets are able to find a taker for Daniel Murphy at 3rd, the Herrera Era may have just begun.

Another offday?!
Fiiiine...then bring on the Phillies.

LET'S. GO. DILSON.
LET'S. GO. METS.
