Standings Watching

Though it is only May 3rd, at 3am Eastern Standard, I found myself clicking on the standings.

The thing is, I'm still AMAZED to see the Mets so well set up, but the 1-0 loss, and other division foes' wins (and woes) let a couple others creep back in it.

You, I, we, and THEY have been through this before. We've seen lots of different leads slip away. THAT'S probably why I'm standings watching on May 3rd at 3am Eastern Standard.

Because I know how quickly it can dwindle.

Yet...

How CRAZY is it that I'm worried about a Mets 3.5 game division lead on May 3rd?!

Let's just split.

Otherwise, I'll SERIOUSLY freak out.
