3 Outta 5 Ain't Bad

I'd be lying if I said I knew at the beginning of the week that it was going to be basically a 5-game series, but the Mets seemed to handle themselves pretty solidly against the 1st-place Braves.

The most impressive part is the how well the bullpen handled itself, especially last night when Jon Niese left the game with some left shoulder discomfort. Five relievers pieced together 5 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball, giving the Mets plenty of time to tie and go ahead in the game.

It seems to never work this way, but hopefully we can put more good baseball together against the Phillies in their town this weekend.

Doesn't seem completely out of the question, right?
